Development and Application of Multimodel and multiscale simulation of FSI

The interaction between fluids and structures in marine engineering applications, such as offshore wind turbine systems, is very complex. It needs to deal with physics at various temporal and spatial scales. The physics at the different scales may be described by different mathematical models in order to achieve high accuracy and high efficiency in numerical simulations. This presentation will summarise the main achievements made by City, University of London in developing and applying multimodel and multiscale simulation (MMS).
