Brief introduction

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Ocean Engineering – Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and I am teaching Ocean and Petroleum engineering subjects. Presently, I have several projects from different national and international bodies. I filed several patents in the US and Indian patent offices. I have contributed more than 150 journal and conference articles. I am a chartered engineer (CEng-MIMechE). I am an Associate Editor of the international Journal of Fluid Machinery and Systems. Recently I got Young Scientist Award.
Education/ work experiences etc: I obtained my bachelor’s (2001) and master’s (2004) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (India) and PhD degree (2008) from Inha University (Republic of Korea). I worked at the University of Aberdeen (UK) and Zi-Lift Ltd (UK) to design novel downhole pumps during my post-doctoral works. I am a Chartered Engineer (MIMechE, UK).
