I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, I am teaching Ocean and Petroleum engineering courses. Currently, I have several projects from different national and international bodies. I filed several patents and some of those are issued by the US patent office. I have contributed more than 150 journal and conference articles. I authored a book on Fluid Machinery (Wiley, 2019). I am a Chartered Engineer (CEng, Engineering Council, UK), a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Fellow of the Americal Society of Mechanical Engineers. I am an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Fluid Machinery and Systems. Recently, I got Young Scientist Award.
Education/ work experiences etc: I obtained my bachelor’s (2001) and master’s (2004) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (India) and Ph.D. degree (2008) from Inha University (Republic of Korea). I worked at the University of Aberdeen (UK) and Zi-Lift Ltd (UK) to design novel downhole pumps during my post-doctoral works. I was an India Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the University of Nottingham (UK campus) for three months (2011).
